We’re seeking a Content Creator who will be a Tech Video Educator. An all-around Shopify/WordPress video rock star with our guidance 🎥.

The Video Educator will create, edit, and publish high-quality educational videos regarding web platforms namely Shopify and WordPress. Your videos will form the basis of our YouTube channel, empowering our users to build the best Shopify/WordPress websites.Prior experience in tech is not a prerequisite, the candidate should be a content creator who can learn about the tech side at a fast pace. 

The candidate will work closely with the web team to create content consistent with the platform's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities (But not limited to):

• Create high-quality educational videos for the Shopify platform.
• Write scripts for educational videos that are engaging and easy to understand.
• Research and gather information for video topics related to Shopify.
• Use video editing software to edit videos.
• Collaborate with the Shopify team to ensure videos are consistent with the platform's mission and goals.
• Meet deadlines for video production and publication.
• Track video analytics and use the data to improve future videos.

Required Expertise / Skills:

• You know Shopify/WooCommerce, from an end-users standpoint and a technical standpoint.
• Experience creating and delivering educational video content.
• Experience in video production, editing, and scriptwriting.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in an engaging and understandable way.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Teaching Experience. You’ve taught before, and maybe you’ve already rubbed in an educational video course.
• You love teaching. You should present topics with knowledge and passion to your audience. 📚
• Passion for covering e-commerce related topic and helping business owners succeed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., CSE, communications, journalism, media studies, education).
• Native English speaker/accent.
• Love the camera. You’ll be in front of the camera a lot, so you mustn’t be camera shy!
